Phase 1: [1:09] Scorpion: The Department of Justice recently released a 72-page document with guidance for specialized units like the now-disbanded "Scorpion" in Memphis. These developments are a response to the murder of Tyre Nichols on January 7, 2023.

Phase 2: [12:20] Iowa Caucus and Nikki Haley: The Iowa Caucus just happens to land on MLK Day which was found curious, so Dr. Lisa did a little digging. Nikki Haley's original skirting around the reason for the Civil War also gives us pause.

Phase 3: [24:02] The Divine 9 and Founder's Days: Five of nine historically Black Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities was established in the month of January. Dr. Shaunna speaks of her beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha as well as the legacy of such student-led organizations and Black excellence at all institutional types.
